What is the best main bearing available for a street/strip type 383 these days. I see the old go-to MS876P are out of stock everywhere, and the 1/2 groove disappeared long ago.

What's the quality of the Sealed Power 4094M's. I've heard different opinions, good to bad.

i have in the past successfully managed to get my local king bearings supplier to get me stuff, by putting in an order, for something way out of what he would think of as normal stock.
once ACL went bankrupt, king became the only supplier.

i.e australian hemi bearings normally sold in small volume in australia only... imported to the UK and at reasonable cost. obviously these bearings would never be part of his order, but using their online catalogue i could get all the part numbers for the bearings in the set and he was happy to try. 2 weeks later i was a happy chappy. saved me importing a product to the UK that had already been exported from US or Israel to Australia and then shipped out again.

king bearings went onto my "Good Guys " list

and they do eventually reply which is how i found a UK dealer who was happy to help

Thanks all, appreciate the replies. I went with the Sealed Power 4094M.

You'll have to use whatever you can find. The low deck is being squeezed out of existence by the aftermarket. Pistons, rods, rings, bearings, etc. are all getting harder and harder to find. It is difficult to do a rebuild on one of these engines now. You can still build a race engine, but guys wanting a cheap rebuild are going to be out of luck before too long.
