there are 2 different ball stud brackets. that one is for a late model bellhousing.
Or visa versa.... just went through this.
Go to Brewers and check your application.

I had to do this to whichever one I had it wasn't the right one and just had to get the correct one from Brewers.

Nice camera work; it shows your anti-rattle spring wrongly anchored at the front tho, as far as I can tell. There should be a cavity and hole in the bell-house just to the inboard side of where it is now. If you use the factory anchor, the spring will pull the fork, with attached TO bearing, rearward off the clutch fingers, making the TO bearing last thousands of more miles.
You can see the factory cavity by the starter, in the last picture.

This is where the front end of the clutch fork spring is attached to.View attachment 1715272318

You need a different bracket for that bell.

Dan,
Are you saying that the ball stud bracket is wrong in my picture also?

an internally balanced 360 can use the 9.5" stuff, just sayin. I suggest getting a new stud and bracket cuz driving around mine snapped in half 1 day = no clutch. into neutral and pulled over , oh ****. started the 11:1 355 in 2nd gear, caught 3 green lights and made it back to the garage

so when u popped in the 360 u changed to a later bellhousing?
The 273 already had the later bellhousing, all i did was buy the correct flywheel for the 360, that why i dont understand why i need a different ball stud bracket if i only changed motors not bellhousings.

No wonder it was a ***** to put on!!!

I also would like to add, i have been dealing with Brewers performance for about 5 years. Great service, Great Knowledge, and products and most importantly patience! which is a forgot trait now a days

Dan, the only thing i changed over was motors fly wheel and clutch, used the same later aluminum bell housing from the 273. do you think i need the later 72 and up ball stud bracket because i have a 360 in it now? maybe raised up the bell housing or something?
It must not have been right before, engine wouldn't have anything to do with the problem your having. Its a later model bell is why you need the other bracket.
