Hey all, working on a 440 six pack. Previous owner had the choke horn milled down, and cold starts are an absolute pain. Found a marine six pack center carb body only. Are there any differences in the body of the car carb vs marine versions? Just swapping the bodies only and keeping all my other components.

Thanks!

I think the only difference will be the bi-metal air bleed valve, the marine carb probably wont have it.

Wow I didn't even know they made a marine six pack application. Please tell me more

Sorry I don't have any info for you I've only been in the six pack world for a couple of years and it is a 340 setup. That sure looks like a nice set of carbs to me though. Good luck on your endeavor.

The marine 6106's were jetted a little richer than car carbs. they had 65 main jets vs 62 or 63 in the car versions. Thus the air bleeds might be different diameters. Just a thought, but no way to tell without measuring.

FWIW
My 750DP was installed in year 2000 and has never had a choke on it nor has it ever needed one, However it only moves from May long weekend to September long weekend, or October 10th at the latest.
