Just noticed a drip under my car about where the yoke is . Haven't crawled under there yet. If it is the pinion seal , whats the chances of snuggling it a little tighter about 3/5 lbs at a time. This was rebuilt a couple months ago , new gears and pinion rebuild kit crush sleeve , seal etc. About two miles on rebuild . No noise in the gears.

Making the bolt tighter will not stop a leak. It will just make the bolt tighter and put more preload on the bearings. Gotta fix it.

The guy who did the work needs to fix that. He probably installed the yoke, dry, and it burned the seal..

Or the yoke has a groove worn in it and it should of been replaced or speedi sleeve installed. Gear oil can also leak past the splines if a small amount of sealant was not used under the washer.
