I thought I'd post this pretty easy combo that put up good numbers today...440 source kit, eddy rpm heads and cam kit, 9.8:1, SV EFI intake, 750 carb and good machine work...not porting or modifying of the heads/intake....535HP and 570tq. Had 560's TQ at 3000rpm!

Which 440Source kit did you use? I am looking at the 440.512.5060 with Edelbrock Performer RPM heads (60189) with 88CC to give 9.7 comp ratio for purely a fun street engine.

Customer supplied, I think it was 440.500.5080 and we milled the heads down to 80cc.

I've got a 440 block at the machine shop waiting for a 440 source kit...
Picked up a big block 727 Divorced Capable for my power wagon...
It'll be a minute before I can get the kit financially...
It's good to hear the tourqe comes by easily with it..

The original post seems to indicate it was the Edelbrock Performer RPM cam kit. I looked it up and the specs are 238/246 duration at .050 and 480/495 lift with 110 lobe separation.

That's a remarkably mild cam to be making that kind of power and torque. Makes me reconsider a big block build
