$517 for a converter refresh?

Ok I'll jump in....

I just bought a Hughes for my 904. The flex plate mounting holes won't match up. Impossible to get all four bolts in. The problem area is the mounting pad that has the hole off to the side. I don't know a whole lot about torque converters, but it looks to me as if that pad is from another converter.

So this thing has already been boxed up and shipped back to Summit.

Try Performance Torque converter in New Hampton Iowa. Good Co.

Sorry to read, is this the same Hughes with shitty arrogant dickhead Dave the owner?
You have YouTube channel going, put their name and some adjectives in the title. It will get more Google hits...good for you, bad for them...
Good luck
This response keeps replayin in my head so I gotta come back. While we know now the two companies ain't related, you sure as HECK nailed the CRAP outta Dave. LMAO.

Well yes for proper clocking of the flex plate. But what I'm saying is the holes are "off" making it so the flex plate can't be bolted to it.
...and we all know you bein you that you tried it nine ways to Sunday. I just don't get it man. I don't understand where pride in craftsmanship went. Down the drain in the name of the almighty dollar I reackon.

pfft! don't ya know, you're supposed to get a file and elongate the hole on your new $200 flexplate, dummy!
(hughes converters, probably)

[judges would have also accepted: well, looks like B&M made your flexplate wrong then]

You were smart for not buying it straight from them. Not sure how much difference there is between a stock replacement from the local parts house AND you can get it in 24 hours instead of days or weeks.
