Anyone done this swap? I am looking to use them to do a future cam swap, and picked them up real cheap. I have done a lot of google searching, and only came up with one Ramforumz posting that state 5.7 springs have an installed height f 1.8" and 6.4's use 2.01" (something along those lines). Comp cams states that only adds 5 lbs of pressure to the springs and is no big deal.
Any idea if this will work for an aftermarket cam swap?

which 5.7 heads? early or eagles?

they fit the eagles with no issues. can't speak for the early ones.

Are they ideal for a mild aftermarket cam on the eagle heads, do you know?
I ran the biggest comp cam they make with no issues at all on an eagle with 6.4 springs.. Cam only engine made 470 hp.

the 6.4 springs are taller than the early by way to much. the early had issues because the valves are physically lower than the newer castings. the early had issues with dropping valves due to design material issues but i can be for sure what it was.
anyway, 6.4 apring find for later heads but not enough spring clearence for the early 5.7s to get a desent cam lift in there an/or the valve setup to last long.
get some eagles, or new big gas heads fro 1500 new a set. will still work on the 5.7 bore fyi.
