6 cyl Automatic

Does anyone know if an automatic from a 6 cyl 1972 dart is the same size as one from a 6 cyl 1976 F body Dodge Aspen ? I have a good low mileage dart trans I'd like to put into my Aspen if it will just interchange and I can use the same linkage and drive shaft

you'll prob have to swap the speedo drives to use the Aspen cable.
72 cable is thread on, F body isnt.
Use the F linkages, kick down, etc.
