Okay folks - This probably belongs in the "Stupid Questions" forum, but I didn't see one. I'm working to bring my 75 Dart Sport with a /6 back to life and I was just wondering -

- Is it a stupid idea to have dual exhausts on a /6, or does it actually help by lowering the back pressure?

- Again, would you think me crazy if I installed a Magnum muffler on my /6?

Just asking because I don't know.

Thanks,

Jim

First off, do what you want to do to your car. If you want dual exhaust on a slant six go for it. Just keep the pipe diameter small, maybe 2 inch max. I've put dutra duals on a slant six and damn it sounded good. Lately I have been going the less expensive route and just used a single exhaust with a 2 1/4 head pipe and 2 inch tail pipe.

Personal preference. Not much to gain over a good 2 1/2'' single exhaust. Ran one for years on my 67 Dart. Why add weight ?
Just my 2 cents.

unless you have split manifolds, or headers, a nice single exhaust with turbo or glasspak muff is fine....

You can run a single in/dual out muffler if you want the two tail pipe look.

I am running hooker headers with a dual exhaust on a 64 dart, and magnaflow mufflers. It sounds bitchin' if nothing else.
