I was in the garage putting the slant motor back together and came across
these two pieces in the gasket kit and have no clue where they go. Can anyone help? Thanks,Steve.

There were the two o rings for the distributor. Didn’t think the cork one should be there too. I could be wrong,(often am)!

kit probably covers multiple versions of same engine i.e in some cases you will have 2 or more alternatives for the same job.
did gaskets differ between iron and aluminium versiosn of the motor??

You are correct, the distributor gets two o-rings to seal the bottom end. I've put together a couple of slants, I don't recognize the cork ring at all.

Maybe it's a fun free key chain haha. Yea I see the distributor gaskets that Halifax sells. Definitely way different

The cork gasket might be for a valve cover attachment in certain years, like a PCV cap, though don't recall it. My 1964 slant has a stovepipe PCV and my 1969 had a big rubber grommet with PCV hole.
