6 Pack Intake/Distributor Question

I have not been able to find an answer so here goes...

Will an HEI distributor work on a 6 pack setup without interfering with the lower air cleaner pan?

I've never seen it to know for sure, but between the firewall and air cleaner, I'm giving you a confident "NO".

Now, if you're talking about one of the small cap "knock off HEI" distributors, one of those will probably fit......but they aren't HEI. There's only one HEI and that's the big coil in cap GM style and it ain't gonna fit.

Yeah, if it's a big cap HEI (D.U.I.) I doubt it'll even clear the rear carb base.
An HEI converted Mopar distributor, maybe.

No maybe about it, whether SB or B/RB, a Mopar breakerless is the same size as a break points dist.

Use the GM 4 pin HEI module mounted via a heatsink on the Chrys elec ign dist, an E core coil, & you have the HEI ign system.
