I just took it for a drive and it runs and drives amazing. Needs some metal work as most 50 year old cars do, BUT it is all complete and runs, rides and drives amazing. Even on the Montgomery Ward tires from 1977!!!!!!! What a blast and overdrive works! lolol.

Did they come with overdrive from the factory? What type of overdrive is it? That's one Chevy I would be proud to drive....most have Powerglide which I never liked...

It was added. It is electric, flip a switch and it goes in. I have the priginal 3-speed for it too. They did come with them though. I also gave a 3-speed floor shifter from the 70`s with is among other parts. This old car would probably drive anyplace. The fuel gauge even works. If I put new tires and so on on it, the price will go up accordingly. Has a brand new carb, still have the original, new cap, rotor, fuel pump and battery. Starts right up. The "cold" light even works....
