63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

Decklids???? Don't mention such to the guy with the 68 Coronet RT...one year lid and they love to rust!!!
Had a 68 R/T southern car just a little rust on the deck lid that was it. My friend that I sold it to, I gave him a rust free one with the car.

Love seeing the progress on this car, it's turning out pretty good. That tire clearance issue could probably be fixed with front wheels that have a more narrow offset and slightly smaller tires. You'll get a staggered look, but that kind of style might work for this car.

Rather excited, got the windshield yesterday, fit perfectly, a little sweat required and my husbands help. Just waiting on a lockstrip which I don't understand why the seller of the rubber strip wouldn't have included.
Amazon has them, so no biggy. Already steamy in my shop, so I'm done for today;)

JD I’ll ck when we get home, Gary’s in HEb getting groceries, I’m in the car with chewie;)
There are quite a few vendors which sell the rubber seal, I think I bought the seal from the first seller on eBay , but still confused why a locking strip wasn’t included. I know there are probably supreme seals, but I generally go by cost

Whoa, back at it again~ the heat is bearable today

I installed the offset upper control arm bushings, wasn't bad at all with everything being new. Going from 0 degree caster previously to the most I could get help a great deal with the fender rub, so I don't have to cut off as much of the fender as I thought, or just bend the lip back even more and see what happens. I can't get any more caster without sacrificing camber going negative. Just need to set Toe soon.
Driver side: .25 camber caster: 2.0
Passenger: .5 camber caster: 2.5

Here I put the slave cylinder off as to what you see here. Amazingly, the clutch pedal is much easier to push than before, then I Gary pushed on the pedal and I was looking for "give", and there wasn't any. Not shown, I re-installed the exhaust and there is no interference~ All looks good so far;)

It's a start for stripes. I have a guy making the Super Six decal to go below this slash stripe.

I did not know they made them adjustable. But, in order to achieve 3-4 degrees positive caster, the lower control arm would have to be pulled forwardly, thus putting the tire even closer to the fender? correct?
Adjustable strut-rods are not meant for changing caster, they're to compensate for variations in component/frame spacing/relationship, when set correctly they should allow the LCA/SR assy. to rise & drop freely w/o any tight spots/binding.
Even the factory LCA pivot bushings have very little elastomeric rubber 'give', one of the reasons the factory K-frames would develop cracks around the pivot bolt pass-thru' tube/welds. With Poly or Delrin LCA pivot bushings, that's an even worse idea, just FYI.

*EDIT* ...And yes, getting more caster via moving the LCA will actually move the wheel forward.

Went over to where I bought my tires, it's an independently owned tires store (TireLink). Rolando helped me pick out some tires.
I may lower the front end since there's more clearance. I have another set of turntables that I can put under the rear tires so it's level or so. The tires do clear now when turning.
I'm glad I went over, I just thought they would tell me to take a hike, There was no charge either

If I were to lower the front end, would it alter the camber like more positive camber?

Well, maybe I don't want to raise the front after all. Maybe I should put a couple hundred pounds in the trunk for a while, they are new springs.

I had place the other turn tables beneath the rear wheels to get it on "level" ground.

oh, it makes perfect sense. A Ford mustang, one can adjust the caster by lengthening/shortening the strut rod. The Dart, I cannot. I'm hoping that in achieving at least 3 degrees caster will move the upper ball joint back, but I seriously doubt that will be enough;)
What size tires on the front?

Nevermind. I see. LOL

Want to hear something funny  ! Gary was filming me/the car I had it running and let the clutch out but the car wouldn't go, it would struggle~ then I put it up on the lift and discovered my tether line to keep it from rolling forward when aligning it. What a relief!!
It goes into gear easily, let's out about midway, but I'm not pleased with the brake, so up on the lift it is to bleed the brakes, now it's 95 and that's my sign off time. In the morning we'll get the brakes bled and try again for The Official run through the A.D. Dyes park (soccer and girls softball), a great place to test out car stuff.

The grill is held in by two screws for a glamour shot, don't worry Glen, I'll black out the parts showing soon;)

that smaller front tyre looks so much better, not '4x4ey' like before, lol. i like a bit of rubber rake on a car

Lowering the front ride height (using torsion bar adjusters) increases negative camber.
Lowering by using a shorter tire should not have much of change.
However, increasing the nose down body rake reduces the positive caster. So that in turn will show effect on camber when the wheels are turned.

An early A with the right tire and wheel combo is a beautiful thing!
