Im really sorry for doing a thread on this, but Ive checked around the ash tray, fuse box and such and I can find that pesky thing. Does anybody have an actual picture of this bad boy in its natural habitat? I swapped out to all LEDs, and now the OEM relay doesnt blink because the new "bulbs" dont draw enough voltage, so I bought an LED flasher relay...
Well as a followup,. the LED Flasher I bought from SuperBright, was the wrong one according to them, so I ordered the 1 they suggested and Ill update on the status next week..
THAAAAANK YOU!!!! Im saving this for posterity, especially when I have to replace my bulbs by braille, lol I see Six bulbs
The OE one is thermal, so needs more current draw than LED bulbs to work. An electronic flasher will work with LED's, though most are bit longer so might have to mount elsewhere. You can even buy one that plays "Love Me Tender" instead of clicks. I had one in my 1965 Chrysler for a month until it drove me nuts.
Well, the new relay worked. Thru me off for about 2 mins, the poles were switched, so I had to "modify" the stock plug. Im good to go!!
