I thought I saw that someone back in 2021 was 3d printing rocker molding clips for the 65 cuda. I would appreciate contact info and how to obtain 9 of those if still available. Thanks

it's in the works to help complete the design (I believe it's about 90-95% there), keep an eye out

That's him. He's been quite busy lately, but is trying to get me the files so that I can start working on them. I'm in the middle of moving so it's going to take me a couple weeks to get back on track

Throwing in my two cents.

He says he printed them on a markforged, which uses carbon fiber filament, which is strong and dimensionally stable.

BUT it also uses a separate strand of GF or CF (glass/carbon fiber) that is woven between the layers, which dramatically increases the z axis strength. This helps reduce/eliminate the layer to layer weakness of a typical 3d printer.

There are more home printers that can do regular cf/nylon now vs 2021, and that might be good enough, but it's possible that these would be better suited for a resin printer, using one of the tough resins
available.

I have been trying for many years to find these clips to no avail. I had contacted the above mentioned person over a year ago, but no response. And I still need them.

Does anyone have knowledge of the best material to use, should I find a local 3D source?

you can modify the GTX ones they work fine. I have 3 cars with the GTX rocker molding clips including my Avatar car and I have had no trouble with them.

I don't see 66 cuda clips there.
In the product description below the picture on the page:

Vehicle Fitment:
  • 1966-1967 Dodge Charger
  • Also Fits...
  • 1965 Dodge Coronet 500
  • 1967 Dodge Coronet
  • 1966 Plymouth Barracuda

I noticed the clips were the same when I had a 67 Coronet 500 for a time.

Okay, now I see. I don't know why the Barracuda doesn't get a listing header like the Charger.

Laysons Restoration has some for GTX, they are slightly larger, but can be filed down to suit 64-65 Barracudas, it says to call them for instructions.

I am interested in a set of 20 for the '65 Barracuda if you can make them.

I haven't heard from the member yet + my setup is down for another week or two (I just moved)
