I still don't have the 65 home but I did put a battery in it and get it started for the first time. I had to pour gas in the carb to get it to start. It will not idle. I had to hold my foot on the gas pedal. It smoked some and had a strong smell from the exhaust. The motor didn't knock or make any strange noises so I think this is all good. Perhaps a carb rebuild and a tune up will be all the engine work I need. The oil pressure was strong so I feel good.
