I'm going from a 6 to an 8 and was wondering what was involved in doing this.the 318 I have came with a hei distributor.
65 valliant small block hei conversion.

"Which" distributor exactly? There is only one HEI distributor and that's the GM style big cap. Is that what you have? We need to know what you have exactly in order to help you. Pictures would be great.

it's the original distributor for the 1972 318.it has 2 wires coming from it.I've been a chevy guy 4 over 40 years so bare with me.lol.
