Found on Craigslist . Last titled in New Hampshire ...I'm thinking it's why it has so much rust.
Bought it for $500 delivered (about 90 miles)
Looks like a pos, but it won't.
Plans are to make it into a decent daily driver with either a 318 or 340 / 727. Rear is 3.55
It was originally a cargo van but a p.o. put windows in it. I have already removed two but haven't decided if the other two will stay or go.
I've put a couple of months work into it. I hope to not have more than 2 years into the restore before driving.
Glad to be here.
Pictures start Now!

I figured the front end was the worst so I started there.
I was wrong. The top is. I'm there now but will show some other work first.

Looking at the first pic, the front looks real bad. It did need body work but most of the rust was negated with phosphoric acid. The green is etching primer.

The A100 has a WB of 96 inches; the 108 is longer by 12 inches in the area between the side and front door B pillar. Had one years ago - wish I would have held on to it!

The two small jalosie windows HAD to go! Thank Harbor Freight for cheap wire welders! Im a backyard guy doing the best I can.

The rear wheel well was a tough nut to crack! The metal was so stretched I had to cut it in several places to pull it out . Had to replace some rust which helped in getting the shape back.

This is where I am now...the drivers side rear corner and roof. The roof is bad. Lots of cutting and welding.
I use weld thru primer for new pieces going in. I use Master Series Sliver for the rust I can coat. It is a rust encapsulator similar to POR-15 ...but better imho.

The whole back end of the roof needs to be replaced. I'm doing it a section at a time so it doesn't get warped. The tabs on the bottom pic are to keep everything in place before the big pieces go in.
I'll be adding pics as I go.

Got some hot fun in the summertime in today. About 3 hrs was all the fun I could stand.
First pic- part of my old dog house has some nice curves I thought I could use. Have to look close to see the part I cut out.
Second pic- a little (make that a lot) of up and down on my work platform (plastic chair) and some hammer banging and I have my part.
Third pic- got the corner did!

The original drip rail has no place for the water to drip....so I made one. Came out pretty good,

This heat! ....killing my fun time! Got a few more pieces made. Should ave gone a little further forward. Gotta make a little piece up there. Going to tackle the other corner today...in retrospect, should have made both drains before putting the first one up. Live and learn!

Looks like you have the skills and patience for this, I’m impressed! Here’s a pic of mine for inspiration

Ooooooooo! Chrome bumpers too!
Thanks!
What is that in the reflection? Looks like a fiberglass camper.

I love A100s so cool to see you doing awesome metal work and bringing it back from the dead. Dont forget to seal those welds well from the back side so they dont have moisture pop rust through at all your welded seams on your repairs.
