I know that the drivers side trunk attachments are for a prop rod (that I don't have), but the tab with the pin on the passenger side? Not a clue as to what it is, or what it's supposed to attach to. I'm sure everyone else but me knows, as this is my first Barracuda. Can someone please tell me what this is for?

The other end of prop attaches on the underside of quarter panel in front of taillight. Should be a bracket hanging there.

Your '66 has a '64-early '65 lid on it which used a ratchet prop on the passenger side. Late '65 started the "speargun" type prop which mounted on the driver's side. Some (most?) '66's also had some trim around the hole in the lid....my guess is to help keep the wear to a minimum, but, I don't see how that would help. More cosmetic than anything to help reduce wear.
