67-69 Dart owners. Bumper to grill gap

New 68’ grill from YearOne and new front bumper from AMD. I’m having a little difficulty getting the drivers side to sit right. Wondering what the gap should be between the bumper and the grill. 1/4“, 3/8”, 5/16” etc? Also, is there a particular bolt and bracket tightening sequence? I know they can slide fore and aft. Very little up and down play. Thanks for the input.
 
Should be 1/4" or less but the bumper must line up with the fender insets too. I always install the grille and headlight bezels, bolt the the bumper brackets firm on the bumper, then attach it to the frame with the rear bolts and lift it up to put the front bolts in the frame. Usually not too much adjustment needed...
 
Yeah it’s just a little off and trying to get it prefect on these cars is a battle sometimes. OCD can’t always win.
 
Lets not forget these were the lowline cars at the time and quality control was non existent. I have built around 60 67-69 Darts and got lucky if the bumpers and grilles were straight...
