What was the original steering wheel on a 67 barracuda?
Ronzini's pic is it! Optional full circle horn ring, his is standard partial ring. They were not all black but colored to match the interior, red, blue etc.
Where do I get one of these? Ebay?
I like to post an ad on here, in the wanted section. Or browse through the selling forum for valiant/cuda parts cars. Most came with steering wheels. I like to keep the money and parts within the community. There are lots of awesome people here with lots of stuff. Good luck!
The wheel and spokes are brown plastic to match the interior. The med brown leather cover I added. Don't know if I have digital photo without the cover. In the Library here The 1970 Hamtramck Registry - 1967 Plymouth Dealership Data Book - Barracuda It shows two wheels on this page https://www.hamtramck-historical.com/images/dealerships/DealershipDataBook/1967/CCI05152011_0008 (983x1280).jpg and here one standard and two options https://www.hamtramck-historical.com/images/dealerships/DealershipDataBook/1967/CCI05152011_00022 (983x1280).jpg
Ill take a picture of the one i have tomorrow. I think its the one your looking for.
Where did you get that cover? I'd love to find a black one.
Here is a source for a reproduction wheel. Mopar Restoration Parts, B/E & A Restoration, Mike Ross, New New Stock Alan
I got mine (tan) from the auto parts store in the 80s. Still holding strong. Alan
I'm sorry I can't find the invoice. It might have been called something like wheelskins? and maybe I bought it through California car cover. If I do come across any record I'll post back. Its a lace up leather steering wheel cover. Takes a bit of time and effort to do - but yes well worth it IMO.
