Not sure whether to put this in the brake section or interior, but I'll try here first. The parking brake handle on my 67 Dart has been broken in half since the day I bought the car. I'm finally getting to the point of planning to replace it, but had a question based on what I've seen online. The couple of listings I've found only call out 68+ a body fitment, but I'm not sure I see why it might be different for my 67 unless it's just a shaft diameter thing. Can anyone confirm if the 67 handle is actually different in any way? Not going for original here as my car is already significantly modified, just want something functional that doesn't dig into my hand every time I use it.

@Dana67Dart, I've used Your, "in place parking brake handle replacement", tutorial a few years ago, it worked well.
Thanks
Joe

You can replace just the handle, it's held in by a drift pin.

Yeah, I took the old one out already and tried to 3D print a replacement, but it's not really strong enough for a full pull and I skinned a finger pretty good when it let go. I did flip the old one over so the one side that's still good is pushed down instead of up, which is a little easier on my hand, but figured I'd just suck it up and get a new one at this point. I swear I saw a metal one years ago in a picture, but I've never managed to find anything like it. Looking at the original though I think the plastic is probably plenty tough. I have no idea when or why mine broke since I bought it that way. Had a feeling the 67 one was probably just uniquely styled, nice to know any of the later ones should fit as well.
