I started the conversion a couple weeks ago now and thought I should share some pics.

Made some frame connectors. Thanks to those who answered my questions here in the forums.

Looks like the car had done a Duke boys jump (or ran over a rock). Had to fix a few uglies back there.

Front.

Engines fighting over who gets to go in the Dart.

K member bits stripped.

K member needed a few little tweaks to make it pretty. Note the drivers side engine mount support had to be notched to fit a power steering pump. I ended up cutting it down to an 'L' shape about 1/2" wide and welded all around (isn't from the factory).

Painted and ready to assemble.

Welded some 1/8" to stiffen the lowers up.

Ready.

All new bits and back in

408, meet your new home.

Motor in. Had to elongate the slot in the drivers engine mount a little. Transdapt adapter mounts fit ok in the end.

Dougs 453 fit ok but needed some TLC. I clearanced them at the torsion bar to get 1/4"+ up from less than 1/8". I had to grind a few casting tabs and a couple corners off the power steering pump too. Engine was in and out half a dozen times til it had enough room and sitting level. You might not have to do this but it looked too tight to me and I hate header rattles! A few dings done cold with a 1" socket wrapped in tape, coating survived.

904 in with all the goodies in it from the forums here. Thank you to those who helped with my parts list!

P.O.L. 11" kit went in nicely. Used Dr. Diff ball joint adapters on the uppers.

A few other pics of some background stuff going on.
New rears from Dodge.

The car was undercoated. A thorough search found this one spot. Made a piece and repaired it.

Using a floor shift, didn't want the nub.

Thanks to those in the forums for posting this conversion.

JB welded tin in there.

Fill and sand.

Turned out nice I think.

There's a little space there but I'm mounting a tach on there... should hide it. I welded the shift arm in place and put a cover over that. I'll use the shifters neutral safety switch.

Sorry for the bad pic. This is the notch for the powersteering pump and a little adjustable torque strap I made.

I can't tell. I hope to heck you are not going to use the 67 style K member/ idler arm.

Yes, I'm aware of the 67 idler concern. Prior to me owning the car someone installed a new idler... and it fits nice n' snug. It was apart and I inspected the bracket for cracks or oval bolt hole and it's in great shape. If it ever wears out I'll weld in a later model bracket / idler assembly then.

Got it wired and the rad in tonight.

... and then we decided to disassemble my partners 340 for his 70'.
Note to self... use brain before turning engine upside down!
Oops

I'm guilty of not taking enough pictures... I'll take some today. Working on the diff now ... a friend gave me some shock plates yesterday so thats almost ready to go in. I have to vacate the hoist this week so... we're getting close to flashing it up!

My US wheel 15x7's came in. They're 4 1/2" backspace.

245/60R15's fit. I can get my fingers between the tire and the lip but I'm going to clearance some. Grinder with a flap disc should do the trick. I have caps for them I'll stick on tonight.

It's alive... flashed right up! Lol it had to cuz' it was on the dyno already (469hp / 509tq). I chose the Voodoo 704... has a great sound to it and it's very responsive!

Maiden voyage complete!
There's a short list of some minor things to adjust or fix but it went very smooth :) Drives great and the 408 torque did not disappoint. Need to get the real exhaust made up asap!
