Looking into installing a sway bar .What is the best fitting sway bar to use for a 67-72 k frame with +73 brakes combo? I’ve seen some pictures with the end links looking ****-eyed I don’t want that ,trying to avoid that . I can weld if needed don’t have the good **** but I got my harbor freight flux core that should be good enough right?

I’ve read some other posts most contain good info .I want to be certain on what to purchase and want to know any “gotchas” to watch out for .

Car is a 67 valiant stock k frame (biscuit mounts) I will be doing the BBP disc brake upgrade . I have an extra set of ‘73+ LCA that I will be using , they have the stock +73 sway bar tabs . I will also be running smaller tires ~205/215 R14 . Is it a must to relocate the calipers to the rear? Which then requires a volare brake hose? Does this brake swap require a centerlink swap as well?

If anyone has some experience and or some pictures to provide that would be sweet!

Thanks in advance !

73 sway bar tabs are in center of arm. 72 and back are out on the ends of the arm. This won't work.

73 sway bar run's through center of K frame. You can't do that on a 72 and older K frame.

It won't work.

You are right I guess I should have stated “after market “ sway bar . I know the stock bar won’t work with +73 tabs as you stated because of the tab locations and the geometry of the +73 bar going through the k frame . I was wondering if there are any sway bars that work with the stock k frame but with the “beefed up/upgraded “ +73 brakes and LCAs .

My plan was to rebuild the +73 LCAs ahead of doing a front end rebuild and brake package upgrade as the car is my daily driver and we all know the most time consuming part of a front end rebuild is the LCAs. My goal is to complete the suspension rebuild and brake upgrade in 3 days

Will most likely go with the 67-72 sway bar (Hellwig 5906)and cut off the original tabs on the +73 LCAs and get some new tabs and weld them on at the 67-72 location .

Look at the Hotchkis sway bar for 67-72 A-body. It mounts in front of K-member and mounts to LCA in the middle. They supply you with sway bar tabs to weld on. But in your case you could use your factory ones.

The Hotchkiss 67-72 A-body sway bar is sort of a cross breed.
