68 instruments light wiring .

When I pulled my steering column out of my 68 Barracuda I yanked a wire loose and can’t figure out where it disconnected from. I have the FSM but it just shows 18-O going to a bulb out of the column side connector….
This is circuit E2 feeding the dash lights and radio lighting .

And why did they hardwire a circuit from the column side of the connector? Unless someone ( possibly me long ago) did it ….
 
Might be for the column shift quadrant. Pretty much all orange under dash wiring is dash dimmer controlled lighting, cluster, quadrant, ash tray, radio, heater, etc

Oh ! Never thought about that .
 
They could have labeled it as column shift indicator light .
