Was checking out some pictures on line of 69 barracuda interiors. I seen ones with auto. on the floor with the wood grain shifter handle & ones with the chrome. Which one is right ? Did the later built barracudas get the wood grain shifter & the later ones got the chrome ?

This reproduction features woodgrain knob with black button. Will fit various 1969-76 A-body models and 1969-70 B-Body models equipped with optional center console.

    Applications:
    • 1969-1970 Dodge Charger

    • 1969-1970 Dodge Coronet R/T
    • 1969-1970 Dodge Super Bee
    • 1969-1976 Dodge Dart

I did see that classic industries list the chrome one as a 68 and the wood one 69-76 I am not sure but i think my car was a mid 69 build

like everyone else knows ma mopar didnt follow to many rules///Monday/Fridays and what they had on hand dictated the builds:mad:

I had a 69 way back in the early 80's. No woodgrain or deluxe interior but the shifter knob was woodgrain.

It was a mid year deal. The early builds were chrome knobs like 66?-68. They changed later to wood grain. The factory videos seem to show both. Pick your poison and enjoy. My 69 had a chrome one when purchased in 84 was it correct? Who knows what the car went through. I opted for the wood grain knob as it looks better!

I will tell you that the chrome knob is much more comfortable in my opinion. The wood looks better but! I may switch back!

Same as mine, not deluxe and does not matter. It was a mid to late year change. Either is appropriate. The factory vids show both. Can we get that picky? As is these cars are not worth that fight in value.

Just providing jazak5 some fender tag info. No questions from me unless my dementia kicked in somewhere.

The 67 barracuda I am buying has the auto floor shifter missing. I want to change the interior over to the 69 style. Better looking I think. I want to put in the deluxe style interior.
