What is the best and easiest to install 69 Dart Swinger wiring harness. I used a jegs years ago and am having issues. I have AC and electric fuel pump as only aftermarket parts. All the originall has been removed.
Thanks FABO

If you are not looking for Mopar wiring colors or OEM type replacement the American Autowire 510603 is probably the best for having non stock parts like EFI, AC, electric fans, Hemi swap etc. But it comes with a price and uses GM wire colors and is pricy but it comes with almost a "hold your hand" direction book and uses modern fuses and relays. I have one for the someday I finally decide its time.

Classic Update Kit - 1967-75 Mopar A Body

There are OEM replacement harness too or buy the colors you want and correct connectors crimpers and go to town making your own.

That one above is significantly cheaper than doing all new M&H wiring harnesses.

I agree - if you want easiest, go for an M&H that installs like a stock harness.

I vote for M&H or Evans, and you should probably put the electric fuel pump on a relay, Summit carries them as do several other sources.

BUT.... what about the cost of hassle factor and having it work correctly the first time! I vote M+H

The splices you don't add, don't cause you no trouble!

I didn’t tell him which one to do, just that the one above is cheaper than M&H lol.

I've installed a few American Autowire harnesses. Good quality. No wiring harness is "easy" to install. The M&H is probably the most hassle free, but it's still not "easy". None of them are. It's time consuming, tedious work.

I'm working on a smart fuel pump relay that shuts off the fuel pump if the engine stops. Would you be interested in testing one? The prototypes should be ready in a few weeks.

How about incorporating an inertia switch like the OEMs do. Maybe even an off the shelf one.

I imagine placement location might be an issue

I considered it, but OE inertial switches are finicky and I've seen a lot of false triggers. They aren't as common now as they used to be. Throw in that this module might get used in drag racing or circle track and it gets even more dicey.

I may be the only one that thinks wiring harnesses are easy. The M&H harness is easy, but like anything, you do have preparation work to do, and having a FSM certainly doesn't hurt.Dash harness, front seat, radio, ash tray, steering column, both kick panels, maybe the glovebox and dash gauge cluster. Engine bay and forward light harness is not difficult. Taillight harness, rear seat bottom, drivers side panel and sill plate. It's preparation like anything else. I have done two of them. Plug and play, just make sure to get all of them before you start.

Guys, I have already a done a complete with a Jegs years ago when the dash was on the bench. Yes the fuel pump is on a relay.
