Need a little help with this one........
Took the original tail light bezels off my 'new' '69 Dart last night and discovered one of the screw mount areas has broken away from the rest of the bucket. Is this repairable? What's the bucket made of? Pot metal? Aluminum?
Will JB Weld work or do I need to replace with new bucket?
Does anybody repop these?
Help!

I have one thats the same and am interested in the responses. They look like pot metal.

The buckets are made of pot metal. It might be possible to use a product called "muggy-weld", I have heard of others talk about this process but I have no personal experience with it. JB Weld might be another method. I do know when used according to directions, JB Weld is strong enough to drill and tap for head bolts in cast iron blocks for ammonia compressors, and I don't think your tail light bucket would ever see those kind of extremes. I know we don't repo the 68-69 buckets, I don't know if anybody else does.
