69 tail panel red

Looking for where to buy the red tail panel paint color on a 69 barracuda. I found out totally auto sells it but can’t seeing paying 37 bucks for a single can of it. Thanks.

Have that. You can get the same from Totaly Auto. $25 a can. The Black they sell is spot on as well!

Sorry just re-read. It is right and expensive but worth the coin. I have a full can not used but was $25. It lays down nice and smooth!

I painted mine with touch up paint from the local auto parts store. It is almost a maroon color, darker than you think.

Yes, I’ve seen two distinct colors from people. Some a almost bright red, and others a darker deeper, leaning towards maroon. Not sure which is “accurate”.

My take is that it was meant to almost match the color of the taillight lenses.

Candy apple red model car paint Just a few bucks. Probably the same stuff they painted the tail -panel on my 66 Dart. It needs to be translucent.

That is very close to taillight color. You did not say what you used. One of the original wrap around look they have on today’s Mopar’s only fully lighted! Chargers and Barracuda’s were the look!

I would say more opaque, pretty flat and more maroon than anything. The repo units are are little more glossy and suspect they are using the Totaly Auto blend. My tailight lens are original and not repolished so they are well weathered. If new lens then the repo is closer to lens color.
