Getting closer to dropping it in and first time dealing with manifolds instead of headers. Will the engine go in with them on, or work them in after. 340 manifolds with power steering, trans attached. As always, thanks FABO!

I put my engine in without manifolds. Passenger side will go in no problem. Driver side I just pulled the motor mount bolt on driver side and put a jack on the edge of the oil pan rail. Lifted it about an inch and the manifold slid right on. I dont think I had the brake booster on at that point so that would likely be in the way. It usually is in the way of everything you have to do on that side.

hang the manifolds on the end studs and put it in, that way you have the ability to move them around when things get tight. It's those end studs that make it hard to get them in with the engine in place, but otherwise you are into the water jacket each time you take them off.
