70 Dart Hoods

I have 2 Dart hoods -- one is a factory 340 hood (1/2" Holes with 3/8" slots - 3/8" corner holes -- 4 3/16" breather holes). The other hood had scoops but no breather holes. The mounting holes are 1/4" but the puzzling thing is what appears to be a "stamped oval" hole in the rear corner. Could this have been a factory "decorative only" hood scoop install? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That hood with the oval hole is homemade the holes were a lot bigger for scoops
 
What I remember is that on My 340Dart the holes were nearer the back of the scoop; I could be wrong; but for sure they were bigger; they were huge to my 17 year old eyes. Also, IIRC they were centered in the scoop.
 
I have a couple hoods and mine has an oval hole....and we’ll and a couple different sized ones....but I don’t think the hole for the air should have tiny holes on the outside of it like in the OP’s pic...as far as I know all hoods with scoops had holes....here is mine....and another with the scoop on
