One is small hole that other . One was a bolt and was bigger than the one that's a stud .

Brand New manifold has same thing . One hole is smaller ( closer to carb ) and has a stud on it and one closet to head is a bolt .

In that case it's one that only has one bolt that holds it on and the other side has a locating tab that goes in the other hole.

Starting in 1973 the slant six exhaust manifold had only one threaded hole, as RRR has stated. So you must be using a 73 or newer manifold. Your choke is for the pre-73 manifold which had both holes threaded. It should work fine with one bolt holding the choke in place.

They are both threaded , what I been saying . One is smaller than the other . One has a bolt on it other a stud and a nut . All slant 6 pics I ca find are the same way . I was asking the thread sizes because nothing I was trying was fitting the smaller hole / closer to carb

Picture certainly helps. It's to bad we don't have the casting number from your exhaust manifold Unfortunately it's difficult to see when the manifold is bolted to the engine. From what's visible in the photo you appear to have the older style manifold. Vaguely remember the small bolt you're asking about but don't know the size. Is there a cup and gasket under your choke as seen here. Dodge 225 Slant 6 Dodge Plymouth Choke Thermostat well cup 2946529 | eBay

Bigger problem for the '70-'72 exhaust manifolds is the gasket that goes between the choke cup and the manifold itself. The V8 gasket is available, but it's not the same as the Slant-6 gasket, which is not.

Does this gasket have a real utility?

Without it there'll be a large, loud, smelly, dangerous exhaust leak under the hood—big enough and near enough the engine's air intake to make the engine run poorly under some conditions, and big enough and near enough the car's air intake to make the people inside sick or dead under some conditions. If you can't get this gasket (and you pretty much can't), either make a new one out of appropriate material, or install a different exhaust manifold.
