71 Dart, mag pickup and 6AL

Hi folks.
I have a 1971 dart, 318 with points.
I would like to go to the mag pickup dist. that I have in a box and add a 6AL that my pops is willing to donate.

Im am building a mild 360, 650 Holley DP, that this ignition will be firing.

I have installed these MOPAR light advance springs in said mag pickup dist.

New ignition module.

When and if I get the 6AL off my pops do I need the new blue box?

Is the 6AL any better than OEM ignition?

Is this all just a waist of time an I should just keep new points am condenser in the car?

If you have a good MSD free you can use that. No need to use the Mopar ECU, trigger the MSD directly from the Mopar distributor. You can download the destructions from MSD

use your electronic distributor and msd 6al...

go their website and download the instructions if needed....you do not use the ballast resistor
