1971 DODGE DART

I have for sale a really nice 1971 Dart. This car has black interior and Butterscotch exterior paint that I feel is a 5 footer but does have a couple of spots that could use some attention. Nothing major. There is no rot and no damage anywhere. The VIN on the car is LH23G1R252823. This decodes to:

L – Dodge Dart/Demon
H – High Price Class
23 – 2 Door hardtop
G – 318 engine with 1 2 barrel carb.
1 – 1971 model year
R – Built at the Windsor, Ontario, CA plant
252823 – 152822th vehicle built

Fender tag decodes to:

The 318 engine was replaced with a .030 over internally balanced 360 stroker using the SCAT stroker kit and the flat top pistons. This engine has an Edelbrock .488”/.510” lift Performer RPM hydraulic cam #7177, Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum closed chamber heads # 6077, Edelbrock air gap dual plane polished intake manifold #75764, MP polished aluminum valve covers #P5007613AB, Edelbrock polished aluminum high flow water pump #8887, March serpentine pulley setup #40405, Holley 750 double pumper carb with electric choke, pressure regulator and electric fuel pump, K&N air cleaner, Wizard 22” aluminum radiator with 2, 1” tubes, Wizard OEM style, natural aluminum shroud #526-105. A complete MSD ignition, 6AL, rev limiter, coil, distributer and wires. The car is also equipped with Hooker ceramic coated full length headers, full 2 ½” exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers, large bolt pattern wheels with later style front disk brakes and full front end rebuild, KYB front and rear shocks, aluminum wheels, 165-15 front tires and J60-15 M&H street master rear tires. The rear has 3.73 gears and a sure grip differential along with a 727 redone with a B&M shift kit. The interior has the high back bucket seats but no console. Turbo Action Cheetah shifter with the command center, Autometer Sport Comp fuel gauge mounted on the cowl and Autometer Sport Comp oil pressure, water temperature and volt gauges mounted below the dash along with an Equus 8,000 RPM tach mounted on the right side of the steering column. The hood is a steel factory hood with an AAR fiberglass 6-pak scoop on it. The rear fender wells have been customized to allow for larger tires.

The car shows 08058 on the odometer but it’s probably 108,058 miles. It has only about 500 miles since it was all built, it has a clear title and I have a lot of the receipts and documentation from when everything was done. It runs and drives (really fast!)

The car is currently located in Wolcott, NY just west of Syracuse.

I would like to get $16,950 for the car.
