So, this is the interior panel that the quarter glass fuzzy clips in to. It looks like there's a long screw in the back toward the headliner. That screw lines up with a rectangular hole in the body panel that the regulator attaches to. I assume there is some kind of plastic thingy that goes in the rectangular hole for the screw to engage?? Also, I don't see how the panel is retained at the front near the pinch weld welting. does anyone have any info on this?? Pictures? Not seeing anything in the service manuals on this.
Thanks,
Steve

Yes a plastic clip type nut that the screw goes into not sure what its called its slotted basically so the screw and panel can be somewhat adjusted for fit etc. I just know its there as I recently reassembled my 70 Dart interior and they are similar. Not sure where to find them I reused mine.

How does it attach at the front??

It kind of hooks over the top and front lip I believe over the windlace then slides back and you put the screw in plus the screws for the stainless at the edge where the door panel card tucks in hold it also. The "stainless" is black on some cars but its the same channel that screws in at the bottom. This video at approx 6:40 shows the stainless and the crews along the bottom edge. In a pinch I suppose those screws would hold it but youd probably have rattles and squask type noises etc.

Thanks so much. I found my nylon inserts. Unfortunately one is broken so I need to find (or make) one.
