727 clutch and plates ?

Can you just put in new clutches and plates with the transmission in the car while the engine is out?

If the engine's out, why not just drop the transmission? At that point, it's probably a 5 minute job, if that.

If you can get the drum out and reinstalled, sure you can.

Is it easier on a bench, IMO, yes.

I forgot I would have to still drop the valve body down to take the front kick down band off in order to get the basket out. So I kind of answer my own question. It can be done but it's best when it's out. Thanks!
