Hello FABO,

I am looking at buying a 727 and the seller doesn't know the history. He did provide the numbers next to the pan rail for me, but I am not having luck decoding it. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/pts/5444969265.html
The number provided is 37782390923248 or 437782390923248

I have a pic but have never been too good at uploading them to FABO.

If anyone can shed some light on this that would be great.
Thanks.

The numbers you posted do not show up in the mymopar list and I could not see your picture to verify the numbers. Can you try to repost the pictures of the numbers on the trans???

Hi KrazyCuda.

I will include a hyperlink to his craigslist ad. He has three pics posted. I believe it is the middle pic that has the pic of the pan rail numbers.

Thank you!

Awesome!

Thanks 65 Val!

I looked online for two hours today and got nothing. Of course I cannot find my 727 book when I need it :)

Do you or anyone else know if this would make a good core for a rebuild?

I believe it said it is a non lock up trans. If it is made for a D350 maybe it has heavy duty parts?

The seller only wants $40. for it so it could be a cheap learning experience for me to tear it apart and see if it is rebuildable.

Mike

Part number is (PK)4377823 Apparently 1987 Dodge D350

Check here...about 1/2 way down the page...

You're very welcome, Mike. I don't know if it would make a good rebuild candidate or not. There are others on the site that would know, though. There is a member "transman", that might. I would think it would have some HD parts, as well as a higher stall convertor.

For $40, I think its a good investment.

Good luck!
