Go with the steel drum, and I believe that it is wider than the stock drum if my old memory serves me right.

It's also a good choice.
Low 10s with 700 HP? Is that all?
..........I'm trying to stay outtta the 9s as it pretty expensive to race the faster brackets.........kim....

Aluminum with steel sleeve seems like best of both worlds.
The lighter weight will et faster and the steel sleeve you won,t have the aluminum getting in the fluid and the changes that go with that.
I wish someone would make a 904 aluminum drum with a steel liner.
