727 truck transmission in 67 A body.

I was doing some Craigslist browsing and found a 440 / 727 (mid 70's) out of truck. My question is: Are there any difference between car and truck 727's?
I know I'll need a different oil pan for the 440. Thanks.
 
Not as long as the truck was not a motor home with the shorter 727 in it. Also if your using a floor shift console now the truck 727 will need to be checked for the small casting behind where the trans cross member goes to see if it has the two mounting holes for the linkage.
