Let's see your 73 and up "beak" cars .

Are there many of us who love a generation of cars which are seldom appreciated??

If you changed your front end to an earlier front end then go whip yourself with a rubber hose.

Historically Speaking, She looks like she raised a Lotta Hell, kinda like a biker chick in her 40s... I was not, in any way, being a smart ass bout your Beaker. And no, most 40 something Bikers ain't Sexy, but she looks tough... if your tired of looking at Ms Dirt, I'll come drag Her off for Ya? Kinda reminds me of a car i built for a Bro, shoehorned a 413 in there, sub frame connected, hated cutting the inner fenders for headers. Full manual 727, and 3:91s , 3" exhaust ( I didn't choose that, he wouldn't listen) I still have the 727, the heads, and a few other odds and ends to go with my 030 440HP block and ol TRW setup.

CAM00056.jpg Phone 022.jpg I bought this 73 340 Sport sunroof / folding rear seat car about 7 years ago. These are the sale ad pictures. The paint had been stripped to bare metal at some point and poorly prepped for repaint. The brown color did a good job of hiding all the rust spots and dots all over the car. I could pull the paint off with a piece of tape. So it has sat in my garage ever since. Been tinkering with it and collecting lots of parts during that time.

Plymouth did a much better job than dodge on the 73+ cars.
My swinger is a 73 but I have a 72 clip on it. Here is a picture of my 73 340 dart sport.

Depends who you ask, I prefer the look of the dart sport but they seem to be greatly outnumbered by dusters. At least It seems all I ever find are dusters over dart sports.

D100s work, and they are not like driving around some mail truck.

The wife would disagree with that .
                                  Besides I already did that to a 73 340 4sp B5 car . Loved that car .

This was my second car. I bought it for $850 in the Summer of 1983.
                                    DS 1.jpg DS 4.jpg DS 5.jpg

That car was LOADED. It had almost every option a 1976 model could have had.
318, 904, 8 1/4" axle with 3.21 gears. A/C, PS PDB, Light group. Inside hood release. Sunroof, vinyl top. Cloth seats. It was a 7 year old car when I bought it at the age of 17. That is like buying a 2014 year model car today...that blows me away.

This Dart was comfortable but too quiet. It had single exhaust, a catalytic converter, a muffler and a resonator.

Years later, I started buying cars once I bought a place with some room.
I bought this '73 sunroof car in 2007:

It was bought cheap to fix up and sell.....

I was a kid in the 90s , no where near a driver's license or anything adult so I missed out a lot but it seems that when I started, the 23 dart body style cars were in abundance. My first A body was a hand me down 72 dart, then I hit jackpot when I found a 74 duster which became my second A body.

This one was a real turd. I had to replace the trunk floor, lower quarters, fenders, hood...THIS was a California car.

Clean Looking, Sweet Ride, I guess I got off topic from the very beginning of this thread. The old and tough beaters, with a badass, old school tech engine, shoved up in there, that we'd Rev slap out, and slam the gears in Daily, hold a dear place in my heart. Possibly, cause they were the fastest Daily driver street cars, around, and ugly mean. But, perhaps, it was the fact we had piles of doors, factory scooped hoods, fenders, blocks and transmissions laying in the yard, and you could always go grab more parts, of all types easily. So, even in rush hour, you could have some fun, instead of a cellphone hypnosis gridlock

This was a genuine H code 340 car but had a checkered past. It had a 440 at one time, someone had put lead between the fenders and cowl to fill the seams. The taillight panel was converted to look like a 73-76 Duster. The car came with a NOS Dart Sport taillight panel that I sold to the OP....Remember that one? AMD had just discontinued them as I put mine up for sale.

The quarters had flares made with lead pipes bent to a semi circle....Way too much lead to just melt out. I decided to replace the quarter skins with metal from a '75 Duster I parted out years back.
