73-76 A Body Spindles

I was wondering if anyone knows if 73-76 A Body disk brake spindles fit on a 71 A Body with drum brakes? Would I have to swap the upper control arm?

They fit but yes you need to change the upper control arms.

Are the upper control arms a direct fit from a 73-76 to a 71 or would there be some slight modification required?

The Upper control arms are a direct fit.
They have a larger upper ball joint than the 72 and down.
You will also need a new lower ball joint for a 73-76 .
