73 duster starting problems

It has a yellow wire going to the starter relay. It has power in both crank and run position. My diagram says it should be a green and red wire. I have a brown wire that is only hot in crank position but it goes to one side of the ballast resistor. Any ideas? It's a reproduction harness for a 73 duster from classic industries but set up for points.

Dual or single ballast resistor?

It acts like the yellow and brown wires are reversed.
