The gearbox in our 73 Duster needs rework, due to leakage. 340 with Hedman headers, power steering. Has anyone removed the gearbox, without removing headers, or dropping K-member ? It looks tight, not sure if lower stem will clear, going out through front ? Anyone had success ? Thanks... 0921211724.jpg

You dont need to drop the k member. You can loosen driver side motor mount and take it out the bottom. Headers im not sure about. Ive done both of mine with stock manifolds. Just jack the engine up about an inch

lenky1, Thanks for the response. I was looking at it, and unsure if it will have the room, with the headers. I'm going to order a new box, so we can try the swap. Thanks again, Dan N.
