73 GOLD DUSTER

-
I have a Genuine STILL in the magazine Mopar advert advertising the 'Gold Duster' making a special Point of only being avail in GOLD hence the term "Gold Duster" you could be right about the years stretch, but different colors ?? I'd hazard a guess they were fitted off the options list maybe more likely.
Dad thought at the time Chrysler had had a more than good look at the Gold on Gold CA Grande Mustang of the time..& thought it could be an attractive sure bet with the womenfolk who were buying Ramblers etc.
Cheers for input.
Trev.

True & you get some even rarer oddball army/air force o/seas ordered jobs too, like some that went to service personnel stationed in Germany. Some really rare ones get re-exported back to USA ( 1 of my old local NZ garage aquantances started *Kiwi-Connection* in CA also involved with Cobra replicas & he keeps tabs on what's outbound but ALSO inbound (to USA).
I think the "only avail in gold color" advert I saw was referring to a '73 year model, but I could be wrong, it could've been been the introduction year, now I will have to locate the Advert ( think its in a Playboy: All the Good Mopar & rambler AMX/Javelin adverts were in Playboys, as well as Saturday Evening Posts )
...so much to do, so little time....
