My guy is my best friend's work mate.. he's in the 60s and has a little shop he made behind his house and does it for a little side money and because he likes to. He does furniture and all kinds of other stuff as well... charged me 250 for my front bucket seats and of course I have a taste for the exotic with alligator skin inserts I couldn't help but give him the back seat for another 250...
I think the truck seat is going to be more of a cloth as I want it to be comfortable for daily driving.. he's got all my visors and actually my back jump seats as well..

I like the bottle mounted in handy reach!

3 degrees outside and I'm not messing with warming up garage well get there soon enough.

I got the rear window trim windshield drip rails all that off the little pliers tool works great. You do gotta love the leak solutions though I mean I think I'll just go up to Lowe's and buy a bunch of silicone and start stuffing it into my windshield wow all on the trim. It's all labeled I will probably get polished and have a pro do it after it's painted I'm a chicken **** this part. I still need to do doors any suggestions are appreciated here. The doors it's real nice no rust under any trim so far. Should I do glass myself I feel like I came this far. Any suggestions on removal are again welcome . I will hire glass front and rear to a pro for sure. Thanks.

Worked on the passenger side again tonight I will be here a while thanks to the door. Quarter is turning out great. Little line to fix under marker light. Getting it to a point I can strip it all. I need to get the glue from the stripes off Jesus Christ that stuff is ridiculous. I'm thinking getting a small blaster for hood trunk and strip them. No dents in them.

Outstanding job:thumbsup: Great color combo on a super rare 74 Dart Sport 360. Keep up the good work and keep posting progress pictures.

Had my painter out today. Turns out he knows my engine builder. Plan to get it pulled out to him. The body shop will sand down seal my work skim coat block and prime again. Back to me for jams trunk hood inside of doors and engine bay. I can send it back for final paint cut buff. While there I should have engine back by then get all front end rebuilt and engine detailing done. Somewhere in there I got Bob my seat guy finishing that up

Well worked on door tonight and both fenders. One fender done other needs little more work. Decided I will put myself in primer and seal it. Need to read up see what sealer is the way to go with Nason products. I will probably go base/clear coat after talking it over. I can do this at home save alot of my money for other items. I know I can get on road sooner with help but then were talking about it going up at every turn and before I know I have 15000 dollars in bills.

Finally the last of the stripe's and adhesive are gone. Plan to remove all the emblems as getting ready to sand seal and prime the whole car. I know I should have done this to start. Live and learn right, next I will have some additional tools and a full shop more room. I'm having fun enjoying myself listening to tunes in the garage all that matters. This little product is awesome wow better than heat and plastic razor blades.

70 degrees today got my butt to sanding and blocked. I have two dents left drivers fender and hood. The rest should be strip car and build primer and skim what's needed after. I'm not letting the painter touch it. Will take down to metal the rest if he don't like it I will paint it. I don't need 40 hours of him stripping and doing over again.

With scoop or without I'm leaning without. It is in way it does nothing it is in piss poor shape lousy fit. Not sure I like it on there but sanding away today.

IMG_20220130_173400.jpg

The scoop has been deleted and I have filled the holes for the after market scoop. It was not functional and I didn't really care for it. I drove the car while back before I blew it apart. Long story short not functional and in the way. SAFETY first wife said it was hard to see road I agree. If anyone is interested let me me know also got a new passenger floor board pan and need a 727column shift linkage. Also need a temperature factory gauge.

Pulled the trigger on a restored 727 column shifter assembly. Full assembly so I can get rid of the shot Hurst floor shifter the hack put in. Headers gotta go pretty sure column assembly will hit it. Will probably go shorty headers ceramic coated from Tti.

The good news the holes for the cool looking scoop are welded and filled. Bad I killed my small disc sander . I never liked it anyway pos! I'm nearing all the sanding being done and first finish closing up for primer to start blocking and fixing any problem spots. I test fitted the old wheel trim no worries on new or old side. I have a new snorkel someone painted but never fitted properly and a passenger duster dart valiant front floor pan for sale.

Stuck at home covid 3rd GD time! Anyways I will get some car time for sure. I'm fine and it's just an inconvenience every time I get it sigh. High risk being around nurses and grandkids alot lol. I got the stupid Hurst floor crap removed of course I gotta order a lever for transmission gear selector even that was changed. Pictures attached column 75 percent back in. Get part and adjust.

Back to sanding got the hood done. Tapped the dents out driver fender and rear panel by trunk lock. Shopping cart dents seemed to be my big stuff and not very many counted 8 of them. Very small to the larger in the fender. Waiting on part for the transmission and need to get the column shifter reinstalled.

Really turning the corner drivers side almost ready to primer and block out.

We're at the home stretch and will be one color soon. I am also doing outside when the weather gives a me a day and I will be ready. Plan is get her stripped rest of the way lay down several coats of primer. Block that wet sand and spray again and go for color. Well mask engine bay off and remove doors and trunk spray those off to side. Gotta pull doors apart of course and I will pull glass and pray no surprises. Didn't see rust on inside behind so I should be ok. My plan is send dash off now I think for a restore wiring and all. New engine harness is here already go ahead and get the rest of the crap going. Bonus from work helped a great deal. Who knows I'm pretty pig headed and careful with what I spend. My helper was on the computer telling me she wants to go cruising!

Stripped the trunk today fixed couple spots. Cleared the sealer and I got ready for paint. The spots that needed fixed were due to sealer and the fact it was not painted prior really irks me. How poorly they did the seams and didn't paint before they sealed makes no sense.

I don't think they had any idea we would still be trying to drive these and repair them long after they were gone.... LOL..

In shock how clean my trunk lid is wow! I'm going to mask it off. Sand only outer seam and shoot only that. I see no reason to strip trunk under side amazing shape. The channel all around is great I will remove seal and sand take out rear window for sure I'm safe on rust. Just amazing!

Spent some money today on lots of stuff. Decided to get new set headers was not what I really wanted to do but after seeing the mess with shorty headers wanted a better look. I will change mounts if need be get engine up a bit truck motor mounts. I got lots of parts coming excited as hell this will be on road at fraction what shop's wanted to do. They just piss me off every time I reach out for stuf. When you ask for a certain service and they try to gold mine you. Only motivated me more to get on road see how much fun I'm having go from there. What I need to do is get my butt down to some cars and coffee locally and make some car pals dang it
