Car come factory with canopy top. Had largely decided to abandon the top in my attempt to put the car back together.

HOWEVER.....

Seen one the other day with the top on it and now I’m thinking I just might need to put mine back.

Question, is this relatively easy to do yourself or needs more than the average weekend mechanic to reinstall. Car is bare bones now, windshield out, so I’m thinking I may be able to do it myself.

Thoughts? Feedback?

Thinking vinyl roof, aka targa top?

The original top has already been removed so no pics of it with the top on it.

But the one in the attached picture (not mine) is the same top as mine came with....

I don't know how much experience you have with body work and such, but that is an easy top to install. Ive put on a lot of vinal top's back in the day. If you put it on yourself, remember not to trim a lot of material off under the drip rail trim and around and under windshield trim, and don't pull and stretch it, they draw up a bit after being in the sun and glue curing. I've saw guy's trim too much and when they cured it pulled out from under trim. My favorite glue has always been 3M vinal top and trim adhesive. You can study video's on the net and get a good idea of install, good luck and post pic's!
