This came off my car. Looks good straight on, but has heavy speckles in the top areas of chrome. Was rusted pretty heavy inside bumper and worse inside the guards. So, even though its plenty solid to use, with the pitting, I would not consider it to be a good core for rechrome. Driver quality or maybe a space holder while you send yours for chroming... Guards were on inner positions, I was checking fit of guard in other position and never moved that one back. LOL
