Just wanted to update. I replaced the carb with the Sniper and a new fuel pump. I had to put in a new fuel sending unit and was dropping the tank anyway. This seemed like the best idea. I left the intake stock. So I fixed two problems this way. Cost me $1,100. I did try rebuilding the carb first, but it was still having issues starting in the morning. Now I have 0 problems.
 
Dang, that is a nice find! Mines already installed though, don't think they would take kindly to returning it. If anyone else wishes to attempt this in the future... I recommend you get a new intake with your project. It will really clean up the look of your engine. I still have this weird round thing that I have no idea what it does.

Side Note: What is the hot idle temp for this stock engine? I think I chose 600.
