haven't played here enough to know who is who ,don't really care who gets butt hurt (but some of the drama is funny) all can say is some of the guys here are on their game
been working /playing with cars for 50 years and still learn something new every day ...its what makes it fun

It's the hookup at the line that breaks parts. A little spin will be your lifesaver. It also builds up your RPM's quicker. Your HP is only part of the package, everything else ties the not, including the driver.

You can't big red X an opinion. A little one maybe, but what's the point. I bet you Turk, Red-Xs all the Christians too, just for having a different opinion.
I've been driving A-bodies since 1970, most of them with stock 340s or 360s, 4-speeds, and maybe headers.
In street-stock class, they are low to mid 14 second cars. Good luck killing any 8.75 on the street, in a Stock Dart.

No, I’m saying a red X disagreement is not offensive.

I’m disagreeing with what he said and rather than get into a long drawn out drama for no reason I use the red X.

That’s all it means. I do not understand how that can be offensive to a full grown man. I just don’t. And it shouldn’t be.

That’s nonsense. I disagree that the tapered pinion is stronger than the straight pinion (its demonstrably not) and that if you don’t have a 489 case pass on it, even for a 13 second car.

Why? Because some guys aren’t satisfied with 13 seconds. So they start upgrading and next thing you know, it’s running low 12’s, which takes a milquetoast 340/360 to get there and now he’s got cheater slicks and maybe a stick with a parts killing clutch.

Next thing you know he ***** the 489 on the ground and then what?

Like I said, if you don’t have a rear axle and you build one do NOT waste your money on an 8.75 axle.

They cost as much or more than a D60 and they are weaker and they take more horsepower to drive than a D60.

That’s the FACTS. That’s forward thinking by someone who has BTDT too many times to let it slide.

Maybe now you’ll comprehend why I prefer the BIG .
