How's this look for a Trans. Fluid change in my 84 d100 4-speed OD?

Just did a little research. I think I'm going to go with the Valvoline Synchromesh

If yur talking an A833od;
and yur just gunna drive it, like a commuter-car;
> synthetic synchromesh might work.
>But, I would still use the Dextron, and add a minimum of 20% EP oil to protect the clusterpin and needle-rollers from excessive long-term wear.
BUT,
If yur gunna try to sport-drive that super-wide ratio, A833od, which, at the end of the day, is just a 3+1 box; nottachance would I use full synthetic.
I mean,
I spent a lotta hours trying to get that slipperychit to work in mine, including three RnRs. That synthetic oil was just too slippery to brake the cones, for fast shifting.
In the End, I took the trans out and apart, a 4th time to wash all that synthetic out, one piece atta time; then reinstalled it with a 50/50 mix of Dextron III and 85/115EP oil.
Shazzam!
With the mods I had made, she shifted faster and easier than ever, and since that day, it never missed another shift, even going to 7200.

But Ultimately, I stopped using those od boxes, cuz I kept forgetting to ease into overdrive, and subsequently blowing up those little od gears.
I finally went to a Commando box, modified it as I had the od-boxes, and hung a GVod off the back; best thing ever!

But
if you talking some other farm-truck trans, IDK, lol.

So just put in 90 weight. Your trans is 1963 technology, not meant for ATf based fluid or synthetic.

Yes the FSM says to use ATf in cold weather, but it's not really ever cold in Florida.
